Highfields One is the family app we delivered for a K-12 and junior-college institution in Visakhapatnam — one place where students, parents and prospective families handle admissions, fees, learning and school life. From a guided application with document upload and live status tracking to interest-based notifications that respect quiet hours, every screen ships with its real states designed: loading, empty, error and failure. Deployed privately in-house at the institution's request.
One school in every family's pocket
Three audiences, one app. Students get a personalised notice-board home, notes, tests and house points; parents track fees and applications; prospective families walk the journey schools are judged on — admissions — without the queue: programmes, eligibility and fees, a guided four-step application, document upload with honest states (done, uploading, failed, required), fee payment with a digital receipt, and a live status timeline parents check daily.
The craft is India-first by default: OTP-first login, UPI-first payments, ₹ formats and light PDFs for real bandwidth. A perforated 'admit card' motif carries every official document — event passes, receipts, certificates — through the product, and a premium content tier with a subscription paywall gives the school a revenue line of its own. The deployment is private by the client's choice; we demo it live on request.

School apps usually serve one audience badly. This one had to serve three — students, parents and prospective families — through the single journey schools get judged on: admissions.
Our Solution
We designed the entire journey as one flow, enquiry to enrolment to receipt, and gave every screen its honest states. It reads like one product, not ten stitched modules — and the application a parent tracks in the app is the very card staff move in the console.

A registrar's kanban carries every application from enquiry to enrolment with document verification and internal notes; a notification composer targets families with a live reach count and phone-accurate preview; and a role-based dashboard puts the admissions funnel, engagement and revenue on one screen. One shared dataset with the family app: what a parent tracks is what staff move.
